made us competitive in championship

In the second half of last season we had the second worst record in the division and are currently adrift at the bottom in this one.

Let's hope that's still the case next summer. Although it's not much of an achievement given the amounts spent and risks taken.

Let's  be honest here. Given the financial outlay and the issues around ticket prices, commercial marketing, delayed kits, 150th debacle, Abdi, Urby etc al, he's been an absolute disaster.

And that was before the mismanagement of finances which has led to a 12 point deduction and the subsequent likely relegation to the pub league.

One things nailed on certain.

If he hadn't blown millions on players and we got relegated.

One or two on here would get reyt mad and say he should have got his wallet out...beter to try and fail than never try at all, blah blah blah.

There's a half way house. Doesn't have to be poo or bust. Doesn't have to be charge the highest prices in the Division. There's a lot to commend in structured, planned, sensible progress.

It ain't though is it, I mean you really need to stop taking what the knee jerks, angrymads and fantasists say and check the facts for yourself, it ain't hard!

Did his mismanagement of finances not lead to a 12 point deduction then, or did I imagine that?

There's a touch of desperation about your missives that reminds me of Partridge and his lunch with the BBC commissioner. You'd be a more effective advocate if you toned it down a bit.

And the fact that Derby County sold their ground in such a way that there was no punishment from the EFL while SWFC have been identified for financial irregularities and had a season ruined by points deduction. This is serious financial mismanagement.  The executive chairman is responsible. I see nobody accepting this mismanagement, only attempts to mount an appeal. Such major matters should never go wrong. Study Derby County's approach and the quality of their finance team.

Football fans always like big glamorous signings though not matter at what club.
Key is not to be swayed to make big money moves just because it would please fans like what seemed to happen with Jordan Rhodes.

This ^, but even better, don't get into the kind of mess that makes you even try to weasel out of.

Wasn't saying that when tha was bouncing at Wembley, waving thy phone torch at home to brighton, laughing at Fletchers celebration against Newcastle, when we signed Rhodes (we never thought was possible) or when we battered Arsenal.

Just seems good times get quickly forgotten.
