Popular Post 0114
Few interesting quotes from an interview with Reach yesterday. Less than a month ago Monk is quoted as saying “we both agree that centrally is where’s he’s going to be most effective” Yet Reach today is quoted as saying... "I asked him for the chance to play wing-back. I wasn't getting a game up front which is understandable because it's not my position and it's not where I want to play” https://www.examinerlive.co.uk/sport/football/news/adam-reach-owls-striker-position-19047075 11
SallyCinnamon
Good on him. If Monk thinks he can play centrally it’s very concerning.

Think he’s got a bit of a reputation as an I’ll do a job anywhere type player. Good to see he’s made it clear where he feels he’s best suited. Contradicts everything Monk said a month ago. Not great considering how convinced he was in regard to Reach being a central player.
Popular Post McRightSide
Can’t believe anyone has any faith left in Monk, if they did, this interview surely puts paid to it 8 1
Popular Post room0035
Looks like Reach another bad apple asking to play in his best position and in one game doing more than Harris has done all season. We won't see him again now. 8

Popular Post beswetherick
Speaking about his stint as a forward, Reach said: "I think it was forced really because of the circumstances. "We let a lot of strikers go in pre-season so the manager asked me to fill in and help the squad out in that department. "It took a while but he's now brought in the players (strikers) that he wants. "To be honest, I was delighted to go back to wing-back. "In this formation I think it's my best position. I think I've got a lot of capabilities there. "That's what I want to do - get wide and get crosses in the box and try to score or set up goals. "I asked him for the chance to play wing-back. I wasn't getting a game up front which is understandable because it's not my position and it's not where I want to play. "I asked for the opportunity to play and it's come and I think I did some good stuff. There's still things I want to improve on but hopefully I've done enough to put a seed of thought in his mind about where he wants to go with that position." "I'm a wide player and I want to play wide. "In the formation we play we don't have wingers, so wing-back is the closest I'm going to get to that. "I've made that aware to him. I've had to be patient and bide my time. Hopefully I've done enough." Can’t disagree with any of that. Over to you Garry... Popular Post McRightSide
Comedy that he has to ask Monk to play there, that Monk isn’t able to see it himself worrying
Tarquin
Reach has to realise his best position is one where he won't have to tackle, can't think of many except the subs bench.

Popular Post 0114
Just now, McRightSide said: Comedy that he has to ask Monk to play there, that Monk isn’t able to see it himself worrying Comedy that less than a month ago Monk has said they both agree he’s better centrally. Now Reach has come out and literally said the complete opposite to what the manager told us. Not a great look for Monk. 9
FreshOwl
You don’t even need to understand football to know with Reach it’s either on the wing or nothing . Was really happy to see him have a decent game there yesterday

I just don't get this manager loyalty to Harris, he has been awful for the last 20+ games. We could have won yesterday had a striker been on the end of Reach and Bannan balls instead of a midfielder, that the annoying thing with Monk. He is too stubborn to give Rhodes a run of games, and he eventually will lose his job because of it, because the others just done have the strikers instinct. We have no other strikers, so why not give Rhodes a fair go of 4 or 5 games, Monk has given Harris 26 games for just 1 assist and no goals.
Guest wilyfox
Is a wide player. Will always be a wide player. We’ve all seen enough of him over the years to know he’s a wide player. Monk’s decision to try him up top was understandable with so few striking options at the time, but to come out and say that’s Reach’s best position was simply wrong. Odubajo for me, with Reach on the left Completely agree re Harris. Was decent yesterday but he has been excused poor form for far too long and isn’t a wing back in a million years Iorfa VA. Lees Odubajo. Reach Luongo. Bannan Brown Windass. Patterson 1
