Yes the injuries went against us but as you say, Monk did us no favours by using the final sub with 25 minutes left. Starting the game with a young defender at CB when he have other options, not having Borner on the bench. What is the excuse for the intensity and approach in the first half? If we aren't going all out to beat QPR at home then who are we going to try and beat from the first whistle? Has any team got a worse home record than us in 2020 in any division? striker Posted October 3, 2020 Share Posted October 3, 2020 No. The strategy of the club is to exist sustainable, it's what many fans wanted and this is the level of quality you are allowed to afford if complying with FFP. It's been an ok start to a long season. 1.25 PPG sees us on 45 points (accounting for the -12 deduction), so will need to improve on this. Effort and endeavour along with attitude are there. Defensively we've generally been ok (today was exceptional on terms of players lost), but we are woeful going forward. I accept we are still to bring in players to complete the squad, not that I think that's Monk's fault and he can do very little to affect that side of things. This international break needs to be packed with attacking input, to go into games looking like we have the capacity to score goals.
