It’s when you swap the wingback round and take off a player for Pelupessy just a a he’s getting into the groove.

If he’d have gone for it we could have had it wrapped up.

Yes it’s not his fault with the injuries but he has to take a proportion of the blame. We concede so many late goals under monk it’s not a coincidence.

He’s a poor manager he has to go

He switched the wing backs to counter the pace of their right winger and it worked. Also Pelupessy was excellent when he came on.

Well we need about 17 wins and we’re already falling behind given 1 win in 4, so it’s hard not to be concerned.

That stat is right up there in being about as useful as the win percentage one.

League tables aren’t put together on wins, they are based on points and the current points total with an appropriate amortised deduction of 1 point shows us in mid table, not falling behind

Normally, yesterday's result would neither here or there spread over a season. Unfortunately, this season is like no other. Not only are we penalised from the beginning with the points deduction but also there is that horrendous eight match fixture list coming up in December. Given the squad available and the expected injuries that we always seen to carry, December has the potential to be a killer month. I have a fear that, if we don't amass a decent points haul in the next few games, by the end of December the situation could be pretty dire.

Imagine this was the only home game we hadn't won since February.

Or that we'd scored. Or not conceded last minute.

Or not about to sell our only quality defender.

Exactly. If United lose there next 5 games say, Wilder will be sacked, they wont care about how brilliant last season was for them. They will just judge he ain't up to the job now.

If Forest sack their manager before the next game it won't just be due to the 4 league games this season, it will be an overall picture including the dire run they were on in the last quarter of last season.

Why would you just write off how anyone has performed because the season ended?

Would you be happy to appoint a manager who has a continuously shocking record but it doesn't matter because it was in previous seasons?

Is it not fair to say changes take time to implement?

New players, new backroom team. It's not always going to be an instant success. You have to give it more than four games otherwise what was the point in allowing Monk to bring his own staff in and sign the players he has?

I don't know what the point was, he did little to suggest he was the right man.

Of course not but the situation with Forest is different to ours as we have had a complete overhaul of players and staff. So he deserve to start from this season because of that. also add the whole minus 12 points hanging over us aswell.

Wigan reacted brilliantly to a minus 12 deduction.

As for the overhaul. We have signed 7 new players. How many of the 14 that have featured regularly in the league for us this season were here last season?

Same players that he couldn't get a tune out of then playing in the same negative way but just a little bit tighter at the back. Not good enough. Also, he managed OK with the players at his disposal for the first 3 months, nobody was saying he needed to overhaul the squad then, maybe hi message become a bit tiresome and he fails to motivate the players as the pattern of a decent start that quickly fades away is evident in some of his previous jobs.

What signs have you seen that you think Monk will be a successful manager?

Jos never got the chance to 'bring his own players in'. Do you think he should have been given longer?

Not saying he will be a success manager. Just that he needs more than 4 games of this season with everything we had going on.

Wigan knew there fate we didnt. Before all we know the talk was we were going to be made an example of and relegated by the EFL with a 21 point deduction.

The next 6 are more favourable games. By then we should have all the players we need in and he would have had time to work with them more on the way he wants them to play.  So let's judge him then!.

And the bit about Jos just goes to show the cirmcutances that Monk faced as he wasnt sacked for a similar run of poor results.

Losing your best centre back before kick off

Another after 90 seconds

his replacement at half time

another with 5 minutes to go

being down to 10 men

and getting a point despite all the above.

let’s have a negative meltdown though

When all else fail, clap blindly.

Jos had a transfer embargo so didn't build his own squad which was one reason you gave for Monk having more time.

I agree completely there is no point sacking him after 4 games having backed him and we won't do. Sadly I don't think it will make a huge difference in terms of our results and he should have gone at the end of last season if not before.

Let's wait and see. Should have beat Watford really. Bristol city are 100% and top and QRP was just rotten luck.
