Ronio
I agree, he should be in the box on the end of the long throws not the other way around. Doesn't Van aken take long throws?
@owlstalk
Brand new signing Likes to hustle, bustle and put himself about Likes to hold off defenders, use his strength and keen to make his mark at Wednesday So we make him run out to the touchline and put a long throw in And some fans suggest that's a great idea?? What universe is this? 2 Owlstalk Shop

WalthamOwl
He should be in the box getting on the end of things like this. Crazy.

WORKSOP_OWL
6 hours ago, @owlstalk said: Why have we signed a brand new striker, armed with a catalogue of goal celebrations, then told him to take the throw in's and aim it at the strikers when he's a striker armed with a catalogue of goal celebrations, but is the one throwing the throw in's to the strikers?? This is the biggest problem with this forum! People will sit behind their keyboards and spout opinions off but have no idea on the abilities of players we have. please do your research before posting

Neil Down
I think deep down inside Neil doesn’t believe Garry Monk is the right man for Sheffield Wednesday x

Surely we aren't going to be totally reliant on Paterson all the time to score goals. We havn't had a long throw specialist since Antonio to my reckoning. Yeah on reflection you're right It's actually a brilliant idea to let our brand new striker throw the ball as long as he can so Barry Bannan and Liam Palmer can go up for the headers in the box Tactical genius 1 Owlstalk Shop
TomtheOwl95
Surely the best thrower of the ball should take the throw ins? If that is Paterson then so be it.

We're pushing forward, playing nice football, we get a break down the left and this looks dangerous But their defender gets a foot in and knocks it out for a throw in There's a real chance now to keep the pressure on, keep the ball flowing, and take advantage Oh hang on... What's THIS? Who's this ambling over to take the throw in??? SURELY NOT??? Our STRIKER???? But we need GOALS??? 1 Owlstalk Shop
sonofbert2
It was a definite tactic because he was spotted in Primark yesterday by my mate and he said Monk had sent him down with twenty quid to get some towels.

Guest Kagoshimaowl
He’s got a monster throw. Nothing wrong with him taking them. Just think, in about 3 weeks time we will have Zohore, Iorfa, Dunkley, Lees and van Aken in the end of them. Will be like having a corner!!
