BIG D
Top and bottom of it is if we don’t sort out the home form then we are well and truly f**ked.
gbear05
I’m not a fan of Monk and would much rather we had a different manager. But we need to be more patient, despite how frustrated we all feel. He has brought in a lot of new players (and we haven’t been able to bring in amazing quality) so we need to give them time to work. If Monk goes, part of me would be happy but then nobody else seemed to want to come. At least nobody better. We need to give them more time. I appreciate its difficult when they look so awful though

Come on fella, we're playing a system that needs wing backs. Something we don't have. I dont understand why he's persisting with it. For me it needs to be 4-3-3. Play players where they are used to playing. It would allow the likes of Kachunga, Windass, Reach and Harris to play in their natural positions and create and score chances. Dawson/Wildsmith Palmer, Lee's, Iorfa, Penney Luongo Bannan, Brown Kachunga or Harris, Reach or Windass Rhodes or Patterson. We simply dont have the personal to play with wing backs.
Ronio
442 gives us complete balance. Fully utilises both flanks in terms of defence and attack. I really hope we change the system, a system that the players are more familiar with.

I will raise you, and suggest that we need two wingers and one holding midfielder as cover for Luongo.
gurujuan
The worrying thing is, Monk is spreading his anti football philosophy to our development sides, and that cannot be good

gurujuan
I think Monk simply has to change the system, it just is not working, at any level at the club. Will he though, or his he too stubborn. For me the evidence is clear, every game we have 3 or 4 players playing in a system in which they’re not comfortable in. What has the change of system done for us? Nothing as far as I can see, we are no more creative, and we are certainly no more solid at the back. Come on Monk, do yourself a favour, and us, and start playing some chuffing football
Holmowl
Our results with 352 have been poor. Prior to that our results with 442 were dire. When he tried 451/433 our results weren’t as good as 442. Its not the system.
McRightSide
Doesn’t matter what system you play if your tactics are to hit it long and hope for scraps

It’s not the system It’s not the fans It’s not playing in front of a crowd It’s not the bad apples It’s not Lee Bullen It’s not the lack of backroom staff It’s not the inability to sign players It really just begs the question of what is behind us taking 8 points at home since Christmas?
Guest Bulgaria
I would have been slightly happier if we had booted the ball out straight from kick off if it had landed nearer their corner flag. Tactical genius.

They’ve all contributed too our abysmal 5 wins in 27. The problem isn’t the formation it’s the approach we take in games regardless of formation. No matter the formation Monk still won’t let us off the lead in the 1st half at Hillsborough. It’ll be the same keep it close first half, nick a goal and then immediately defend.
