Fulham -V- Wednesday (League Cup) OMDT

Recommended Posts

Shaw has been fantastic tonight, and Brennan and odubajo haveplayed very well.

Sadly, Borner has been a complete car crash, shocking. Dele has been very poor and needs to improve massively. Reach has been really poor and doesn't have an ounce of courage in him. Palmer seemed to be sulking all game?

Some positives and some negatives.

FT reflections

Not a bad night all things considered

Palmer and Börner absolutely abysmal

Odubajo moves ahead of Penney in the LWB pecking order for me (much as a prefer left footers on the left)

Why the hell are we playing Reach upfront?

Shaw the pick of the young guns. Waldock faded badly after a good start, Brennan much better in second half

Kachunga did. himself no favours either

But he isn't is he? I mean, thats not where you play him with a choice. But I'm not sure, if I did have complete choice I.e. put him in a perfect team to compliment him, where I would play him...

Id play him LWB every game.

Way better than any other candidate on our books.

Easy this managing malarky innit?..

Not at all. I'm liking what I'm seeing, but we just don't have the legs or depth of squad to keep it going all game, especially with the youngsters.

That said we have left a number of senior players at home.

Maybe but just as competitive and more physical

I know it's en vogue to bash modern football, but if it were truly possible to play 3 games at the highest level in 8 days, don't you think a top team would have figured out how and bene blitzing the world by doing it?  Humans aren't robots.  Lactic acid doesn't just vanish in minutes.  It doesn't matter how fit you are, recovery is one of the most important parts of any athlete's training.
