Fulham -V- Wednesday (League Cup) OMDT

Recommended Posts

I dont understand why people are moaning this performance has been decent. We knew we needed a quality striker that the difference considering our second team are more than playing well against these shows it all. Just missing a decent finisher. That and defence been kids today too but not been bad at all

Try to win every match and yes play the best side available.

And then when Bannan and Windas get injured and we lose anyway what do we gain?  I couldn't give a monkey's chuff about the Carabao Cup.  We've got zero chance of winning it, there's no money to be made from it, it's just a distraction from what is going to be an incredibly tough league season!

I also love peoples confidence that our first team would be comfortable in competing with Fulham when we got spanked 3-5 against them just the other month.

Didnt exactly get spanked 5-3 did we and we've bought new players since then.

Score line flatters Fulham but you can’t defend like that. Borner terribly out of position time and time again.

Moses our best player, with credit to Reach, Joey and FDB.

Very impressed with FDB’s power and acceleration. Got to be knocking on the door.

Disagree with all the moans that we’re playing with plenty of youth tonight.

They’re part of the technically gifted mould of footballer coming out of youth set ups who need the physicality of big boy football. It’ll do them a world of good, or they’ll not make it anyway. No harm done.

Börner just become too complacent and unfit? Looks too heavy and sluggish, needs to get into shape and be quicker and more decisive and firm, like the German tank he used to be... now just making mistakes and nowhere near first XI with this kind of performance.

He’s in and out of the side surrounded by rookies, in a position that doesn’t suit him that well...going to be hard

No positives in putting players out to the sword, OK against weaker opposition but not prem class.

You can't protect a football player from tough games or defeat, especially with a squad as thin as ours.

This is the League Cup, its only value to us is giving game time to some of our younger players, the one's we'll no doubt have to call on as the season progresses.
