Popular Post Lord Snooty
*************************** FULHAM - V - WEDNESDAY EFL CUP Wednesday 23th September, 2020 Kick Off: 19:00 Craven Cottage *************************** FULHAM Fulham manager Scott Parker has urged his side to try to dominate their midweek Carabao Cup third-round tie against Sheffield Wednesday. "We've got a home tie now against Sheffield Wednesday on Wednesday and we'll go into that game hoping to try and progress, be dominant in the competition really. It's a competition that obviously, you want to try and win and that's the way I look at it. Of course you have priorities but at the same time you want to try and field the best side." However Parker is expected to make several changes, most noticably in attack with Kamara moving into the centre for Mitrovic and Knockaert expected to get the right sided birth in a 4-2-3-1. FULHAM LIKELY-: Rodak Christie Ream Marchand Robinson Lemina Cairney Knockaert Cordova-Reid Kebano Kamara ***** WEDNESDAY OWLS Boss Garry Monk is likely to go with the same team that beat Rochdale, especially with another tough game against Bristol on the horizon as the club tries to claw back it's 12 point deficit. However a clutch of youngsters have been training with the first team this week, and it might well be that we see Hagan and Adedoyin get some time in attack some stage of this game. WEDNESDAY POSS-: Wildsmith Brennan Shaw Borner Palmer (C) Deli-Bashiru Pelupessy Hunt Odubajo Kachunga Reach ***** Edited September 23, 2020 by Neal M 14 12
Morepork
Really interesting fixture this. We can gauge both our performance and progress with the recent game between the teams. They proved to be a lively attacking team, we’ll have a much better idea if our defensive improvement is really as good as it seems. Emerson Thome
I hope we don't put out the reserves. Maybe give one or two of the outstanding players from Rochdale (Kachunga, Dele-Bashiru, Hunt) a game, but we should be trying to win this game. There's an international break coming up soon, so players should be fit. Rest one or two of the most vulnerable ones (e.g. Brown) but basically a strong team. Taking a Premier League scalp, especially a team that put 5 past us a couple of months ago would be worth more than the rest. I'd pick: Dawson, Iorfa, Lees, Van Aken, Palmer, Dele-Bashiru, Bannan, Hunt, Penney, Windass, Kachunga
Guest
Fulham is one of them teams I hate. Quite happy to get promoted then get relegated again Ie Westbrom and Norwich They'll play their reserves Cus finishing 4th from bottom would be better than a cup run

striker
Those who played at Rochdale deserve another outing. Whether we progress depends on the team Fulham put out and some good luck. Irrespective, it will be valuable experience and minutes in their legs which will benefit us this season. We have a tough game at the weekend, our pressing play used this season needs players rested and ready to run and run. That's difficult when also playing midweek and maybe take a potential hit in the cup for the greater good of the league. new zealand owl
Same team as Rochdale which I'm more than comfortable with. Bristol City is a much more important game on Sunday. Will be interesting to see how they all cope when facing some top quality players.

Pablo Bonvin
Let’s keep it going boys. Come on, if they’ve only got Kamala up front then we must be in with a chance. Unbelievable.
Bluesteel
Bit of a bonus game this. The league cup has served its purpose this season ie given us some pre season style fixtures. There are no crowds so minimal revenue to be made and we won’t win it so it’s just a strain on a thin squad. If we lose it won’t be a bad thing as it’s more match fitness for the players who haven’t been involved. If we win then it gives everyone a lift. 2
Ever the pessimist
I’d play a reasonably strong side: get them battle hardened, used to playing alongside one another and there’s an international break after next weekend before the real two league games a week starts.
