Does this so called substitution have a direct impact on Mike Deans ability to officiate the game? No. It doesn’t. The red card had a direct impact on Bilic’s teams chances of winning the game, 2 entirely different scenarios.

All Bilic has done is asked him to have a look at a decision, I’d argue it happens every other game in some regard, probably not on the pitch but, the 4th official has both teams in his ear for 90 minutes. Regardless of what it will achieve, it’s 1 human trying to have a civil conversation with another, to be simply told to go away is down right disrespectful. Next time Dean receives a torrent of abuse, he wants to remember the way dealt with that situation and, he might get some understanding of why officials within the game are criticised and, abused like they are.

Ask yourself why Rugby officials rarely receive torrents of abuse, or Cricket umpires for that matter. I’ll tell you why, they give clear concise reasoning when they make a decision. They don’t blow their whistle and, hide behind a set of rules. You can have a respectful conversation with either. They treat both players and, managers in a way they’d like to be treat themselves. It’s basic human nature, treat others like you wish to be treated yourself.

Bring Football into line with Rugby ...

And give all the players & staff fair warning by force feeding them TV Rugby and making them attend seminars prior to enforcement of the new regime ...

Put down yer phones n X box controllers and start behaving like adults..

Should be the way to go ...

Rugby is officiated excellently and respectfully endorsed....

Very little sympathy for players, whether past or present, complaining about match officials. They're given such little respect and are constantly abused by players and staff and this happens right the way from youth football and Sunday league to the very top. Doesn't happen in any other sport.

Exactly.  Players and managers want respect from officials but never show any.  Their entire MO is to figure out how to best cheat the officials without going too far.  We have diving left right and centre.  "Feeling contact" to gain fouls.  Shirt pulling, "tactical fouls", encroachment, moving the ball for set pieces, walking down the line for throw ins.  It's never ending.

Then they moan when a ref sends off a player for slapping someone!  Don't make me laugh.

Just not bothered...
