Chey Dunkley and Osaze Urhoghide updates

Recommended Posts

Garry Monk's update on the injured pair...

"Osaze is a little bit better. With Chey, we've had a really good report back from the scan.

"He's nearly there. Maybe just (another) week, maybe two weeks.

"But we'll see. Chey is kind of a daily one where it depends how he reacts each day to the training when we step it up and step it up.

"Osaze will need some under-23 games first.

"I think both will need some minutes in the under-23s before the ultra-competitive side of it with league and cup games.

"It'll be great to have them back in the squad.

How infuriating, we were told he was back in full training 10 days ago, and would be available for selection. I thought it was a bit odd that neither were selected for that U23 game against Wigan

Can you imagine if Carlos bought an injured player?

There would only be a little pool of OT left.

He's the gamble though isn't he. If he recovers 100% he will be immense for us. On the flip side we have some depth now at centre back if it doesn't work out.

I'd be worried if we were relying on him as our only option.

Are we in a position to gamble?

1st rule of no nickname club - spell clique correctly

2nd rule …….

Clique!!!! Knew it was the wrong spelling, the correct one didn't come to mind and I couldn't be arsed to search for it.  Was hoping no one would notice.

My opinion and confidence in the recruitment staff who are bringing players with the right mentality in. He speaks well and will be a leader on the pitch.
