He’s putting himself in a good position for either.

ozzieowl
Said before n say again he got abuse for a bad mistake v piggies. He was never that bad. When first came he was pinging 40/50 yard balls with quality till manager stopped him doing it. Proved that today. Given run in team will do him good. can see him being dropped tho when Dunkley fit. id have said Dunk would replace Lees. It he’s stepped it up

The person who was at fault for that debacle was Carlos and it started the slow death for him. IMO Carlos should have been guillotined on the Hillsborough pitch after that match for not taking it seriously and just seeing it as just another game. 9

His performance against that lot was the “final straw” he was quickly becoming a liability.

Mr Farrell
Best defender at the club. Him not playing last season is the main reason we struggled.
Sgt Wednesday
Iorfa, Lees and Van Aken know that Borner and Dunkley are breathing down their necks. Dunkley will put real pressure on them, Borner looks a bit lost in a back 3 but we know he's decent.

Think that ended a lot which was good at the club and from there things started to unravel. Real plus to have him back, fit and seemingly matured in a more composed way. Could potentially be a real selection headache if we have all CB's fit. Would like to see us hang onto him as we always seem to get an avalanche of injuries at once. Like having a decent free transfer signing as it stands.

Thrown in a bit when he first arrived into a tough league.
Nero
Ok but.... Gave away two needless corners and sliced a volley inches over his own bar. In amongst some decent defending. Luck went his way today which is great and hopefully he gets a bit more confidence. Edited September 19, 2020 by Nero
Mr. Tom
He looks very comfortable on the ball, we all know it. Has the ability and the physical attributes to stretch for blocks and interceptions that others can’t make. However, for me he does look like anything could happen when the ball is coming at him under a bit of pressure. Doesn’t seem composed enough to me yet. Always looks 60 seconds away from a costly error except when he’s got it under control, then he looks a player.

The pace of the game is so much quicker than the Dutch league. Carlos didn’t manage Van Aken well. Just like Rhodes - when he signed he needed a run of 10 games but Carlos chopped and changed.
