The Night-Owl
Early days but looking at the table shows the unpredictability and competitiveness of the Championship. I still expect the parachute payment clubs to dominate the longer the season goes on but who'd have predicted Reading or Luton to be up the top and Derby and Forest down the bottom? I'm impressed by our solid start. We've played two tough teams that both have a chance of being up there at the end of the season. We look much more solid as a team, we're creating chances too. I still feel we need at least a couple more players in attacking areas, it will still be a tough season with the congested midweek games but we look a lot better than I thought we would and the future is looking brighter. Long may it continue. 1
WC1Owl
Frankly, with this kind of start, settling for play-offs shows a lamentable lack of ambition. We're only 14 points off the top with 44 games to play!

latemodelchild
8 points from safety with 44 to play. If we were 8 clear with 44 to play we'd be bricking it. 14 off the top with 44 to play, put like that it's doable.

prowl
Keep this up for another 4 games and we will be on zero and bottom but probably only 3-6 points adrift from 4th bottom. The sooner we start reeling other teams in the better. Get a few in the rear view mirror and we will be laughing.
Mr Farrell
A point closer to the play offs. Fully expect us to be top 6 by Xmas.

Mr Farrell
How can we be bottom with such a great goal difference ? Bizarre.
Buxtongent
It's annoying to look at a table and see eight clubs above us who haven't won a point, yet we're still below I knopw, iy's because of points deduction, but it looks queer.. The most worrying is that we have not won at home since February
theowlsman
If we won tomorrow, the table would look quite positive considering.
