Rochdale -v-Wednesday (League Cup) OMDT

Recommended Posts

Like the approach so far, good movement and plenty of energy.  Young lads looking good.

Reach's first touch is terrible, but he's finding good positions, promising

Reach's first touch tonight.

Crikey.

touch like a midwife of late, Monk wants to send him off to the car park with a tennis ball

Agree. All the more frustrating as he's popped up in some good areas.

seems to have a good attitude too, watched that vid interview with him and Shaw on the OS, thought Hunt came across like he was a decade older - sounded quite serious-minded and very focused

Yeah I thought that

Seems a very driven character

2 foul throws in 1 game. Now I'm interested.

had one against Cardiff too, incredible that we’ve found a way to make our throw-ins even worse

It's about scoring goals.

Indeed.

I'm quite enjoying it though. Decent tempo. Both teams trying to play.

Few tenacious tackles going in.

Better game than I thought we'd get.

Bashiru is seriously raw. As with Helan all physical traits, rather than footballing ones.

have to agree, someone like Hunt for example at the minute looks much more of a player.

he’s such a smart footballer, maddening that he tends to fluffs his lines when he’s done all the hard work

Done ok, easily the better team, looked comfortable in possession, pressed well, but not created enough.

Shaw caught the eye, solid defensively, neat and tidy on the ball.

Hunt looked busy too, having a good game.

Rochdale are doing well to keep the mighty, mighty, Wednesday from scoring.

It’d help if we had a goal threat though.

Get thingy on, that young striker who was lively at Warsaw. Hagan, that’s him. Hagan could be the hero tonight.
