Late Wenger Arsenal sides were nowhere near winning the title and rolled over in away games. They weren't susceptible to giving away daft goals, they did so on a regular basis and couldn't buy a win away from the Emirates.

We are not talking about late Wenger sides.

There was a period in between (from the Invincibles to the early 10s) where they were still a very good team who more often than not let themselves down and undermined their own efforts to be successful.

The latter Wenger sides were way off.

Foden was supposed to be a replacement for Silva, Guardiola wouldn't give him a game barely nor loan him out. Silva retired and Foden gets more time now, but hasn't really improved since he first started making first team appearances a couple of years ago. So now there is a huge void which could have been avoided-which is poor management.

I replied in response to a post stating it was like Arsenal in the latter stages under Wenger.

How much do you watch City? Foden has been one of their best players post lockdown.

So good he's still a bench player? Come on, he's definitely been stunted. Nobody is talking about Phil Foden.

City rotate players.

He started away to Marseille this week and has started most of their league games.

Keep commenting on things you aren't fully aware of, I'm off to watch Wednesday.

It's like any league team going to a non-league team in the FA cup.  You play to your strengths and try to win by being patient and focusing on your superior skill.

Sheffield United will  have been seen as a banana skin.

Job done and they didnt even have to consider getting into 3rd gear.

Can't see them getting anything next week so they'll likely go into the international break 1 point from 8 games - nearly a quarter of the seasons gone.

They need to start scoring or they are looking like 1 of four for the drop.

You don't get much return for your £43m duo of strikers do you?

0-1 but completely outplayed and no attacking threat and the keeper making the scoreline respectable - exactly the same as us in our "cowardly" loss to City in the cup. With Da Cruz up front and Wildsmith in goal.

They had Aguero and Jesus up top that night as well (admittedly they didn't have De Bruyne and Sterling was only a sub)
