Seems we aren't the only ones that get taken for granted. Only 5,000 tickets available, for a meaningless match to see one of the worst teams in Premier League history and they are charging former season ticket holders who didn't request a refund £40 for the privilege. The few I've spoken to about this are far from impressed to say the least.

Also noticed that in Burnley's final game against Liverpool, they're charging their permitted number of fans... £0.00 Utd have had a disastrous season and have alienated the fan base with the way they sacked Wilder and left Heckingbottom in charge for the remainder of the season. What they earn from charging 5,000 loyal fans £40 for a meaningless game is a drop in the ocean compared to the further bad feeling they are going to generate from this decision. alanharper
The humble club. Charging £40 to see a rock bottom relegated team play Burnley. What are the concession prices? Asking for a blade mate.
sheffield_dave
Imagine being last in the ground thinking Chris Wilders Blades were heading to Europe, and the next time you’re paying £40 to watch Paul Heckingbottom’s long since already relegated side against Burnley. Life comes at you fast. 1

If they could never find the bloke who was hit, there was no complainant so I assume it was a public order offence? S4 or S5? A good solicitor will argue that he felt either he or his partner was at risk of further assault so he was acting in self defence. Unless the incident was over and he just felt like a bit of revenge? At best it was a public order offence for swearing in the street. He’s not looking at jail time. His injuries were at worst a black eye so at the most it’s common assault, so McBurnie’s not facing anything like 5 years and definitely not jail time either. Dem Blades had a few years of high, but it all seems to have been the perfect storm. The whole thing unravelled within the space of about 6-months. Don't they win more points when he doesn't play, if so they will be wanting him to get 20 years

Dad, mum & 2 kids, £120 to watch the mighty relegated blunts against the powerhouse all stars of Burnley FC. While Burnley let their fans in for nowt against Liverpool. IWEDFM
How on earth can you charge your fans £40 to watch an already relegated side play Burnley It beggars belief. You could perhaps understand it if the match had something riding on it but they've been as good as relegated for the best part of 6 months now What a way to f*** off your own fanbase Edited May 15, 2021 by IWEDFM

If they stick with the 40 quid nonsense I'd be surprised if they get 500 never mind 5,000! In fairness we'd probably be the same. Howards back
They will win Burnley then roll out the excuse that they were relegated because fans were not allowed in. Their famous twelfth man. Then sue boris for their relegation.

Don’t forget the open top bus parade round town to celebrate all their record breaking achievements this season! Get Piggy Wilder on board with a crate of Peroni; what could possibly go wrong? It would be such a fitting end! What a time to be a Blavge!
