The rhetoric always has to fit with being the underdog for them. It's almost as cringey as when Chris Busdriver Wilder harped on about it not being good playing in front of zero fans, but THEY suffered from that more than most just well.............because. They are literally the type that will talk about how they 'nearly' won a game, because that is literally all they have to cling to. That and a 4-2 victory v us which for any pig fan will still rank as the biggest achievement in this run of halfarsed success they claim. All complete horseshyt of the highest order.

Still targets to hit: 1) 1 goal short of matching the all-time lowest goals tally in an English league season - Loughborough (18) in 1899-1900 2) 3 short of matching Derby (20) goals (07-08) lowest in Premier League history #twitterblades #SUFC...cont... 1

It will take a very good manager to turn this around. You don't just get over a season like they're having. As we know, the Championship is pretty unforgiving. Obviously I'm delighted they're down but robbing me of true joy about it is another thing I'll never forgive our current team and owner for. It will provide an interesting snapshot of fans attitudes though. Compare the social media 'bants' from us last night to them on the day we go down. I'd be betting there's more p taking from their side. Us going down is a good season for them. Same here unfortunately I feel like a bloke at the gallows laughing at someone I don’t like as the rope goes around his neck.... problem is I’m next in line

How do you expect them to repay that if not from their parachute payments? Not being an expert on football finance...but I expect that (like most relegated teams) they will flog a few of their better players and then bring down their wage bill. But theirs isn't too out of kilter with the current championship levels anyway.

They have already loaned against parachute payments, had a wage bill last season that averaged £45K per first team player and have got rid of the manager best positioned to help them get back up. Shame.

How many clubs in the Championship have a £90M wage bill?

Quite a few did last season, with more around the 70m mark if memory serves. Not sure this time out.
