That’s a shocking decision from the Prince.

Wilder was best placed to get them up. It’s gonna create MASSIVE division amongst the fan base. They’ve literally had 4 amazing seasons and then the first bad one he gets the bullet.

Football and football owners are utterly mental these days.

It is indeed an odd decision on the face of it...

I'm not liking the sound of this - he'll end up staying and it'll be spun as the fans' backing of him was so powerful that he'll stay to lead them back to the prem, and he'll (as ever) come up smelling of roses.

Thought has cross my mind.

New contract etc.

Did somebody mention Biggs?

I’m not sure, if he was at Man City, that they’d have attracted the type of player they have done with Wilder in charge. Just imagine if he had an even bigger pot of money to throw away.

So, yes Pep, very diplomatic of you, but it’s a load of bunkum.

Sounds like it'll be *mutual* consent, a bit like when  Wenger departed etc.

He wants out imo and they want him to move on. Might even have a press conference confirming.

Try and keep fans onside etc.

It's like Allardyce constantly moaning about how if he was called Allarydychio he'd be managing Real Madrid.

No, you wouldn't. West Brom, Blackburn is your level.

There is a reason that top clubs appoint people like Pep, Klopp etc.,because they're world class operators who know how to manage world class players.

Chris Wilder knows how to get a group of average players punching above their weight and running through brick walls for him. He wouldn't have a clue how to manage the big egos of top class players.

He will always be a fan etc etc. It will always hold a special place in his heart etc etc. Their fans are the best etc etc (don’t forget if it wasn’t for covid they’d be running away with the league with their backing).

Expect several digs aimed at  us as he goes on his way as well. He will be humble to the bitter end.

Yep, board will be wanting a change but afraid of the backlash from fans.

Wilder wanting out is the perfect time for them. "Chris decided it was time, we didn't want him to go, but we wish him all the best"

Looks far better than "WILDER SACKED" for bth parties.
