All part of the Wilder myth. Listening to a report on the radio last night and they were discussing what had gone wrong?  They've not spent a lot of money in the summer was one theory when in fact £135million isn't exactly small change.

Injuries and bigger name players on much more money.

They have been incredibly lucky with not getting many injuries to their core group over the past 3 or 4 years. They have picked up a few and it's made a big difference.

Money talks....the players who had a solid season in the prem earning 6k per week expect to be earning 25k plus like the new lads who did nothing.

Lundstram is a prime example.

They are human and they are probably all thinking this is their one and only chance of making big big money. It's slipping through their fingers and they know it. Oh well.

I see the fans argument to an extent. Wilder is their best bet of coming back up next season. But, will he get the same kind of squad together that he did last time? It has to be said he did an excellent job going from L1 to PL with the club, but they seem to think he’ll do it again no problem.

Also. What’s the point? If Wilder has proved he’s not a PL manager why stick with him if their ambition is to be a PL team?

The main problem is is that Wilder obviously cannot spend money well. They've spent North of £100m and they have 2 points going on 4 months into the season - it's insane. Dunno how much Derby spent when they were in the Prem, but cannot imagine it's 9 figures.

So they go down, back up, then what? Spend another £100m and come down again? It's crazy to me that there seems to be the majority still backing him.

Well, crazy and fantastic from our perspective (minus us being completely and utterly cat meat of course).

He signed loads of players that were soon shipped out back in the Championship days.

Luckily, these were low fee's and low wages. Meaning it was easy to ship them back out.

He's now stuck with the likes on McBurnie, Brewster - Unless they take a big loss in transfer fee.

What I don't get, not watched much if them TBF, is that they seem to be playing the same way every week, just swapping a couple of players. If that hasn't worked for 20+ games, why will it work now, they don't seem to change anything. What is that definition of insanity... doing the same thing and expecting different results

I think it shows that their managerial genius is actually a one trick pony with a trick that has a shelf- life that has expired

All part of the master plan mate. The greatest manager in history doesn't change formations apparently. A bit like me in champ manager 01/02.

I hear this a lot. Apparently they have barely spent anything when you look at the money thrown around in the premiershio, all of them will earn the money back, and none are on high wages (unlike what we brought in) so when they come down they'll still be paying peanuts and have parachute payments

It's funny , but any Owls fan posting on a Utd forum, even to take the mick, is pretty tin pot, obsessive and embarrassing.  That's what we say when they post on here as well.

We can enjoy their awful situation, but remember our clubs a joke as well.

We all know what a truly dire position we are in but think how much worse we'd feel if they were in the position they were in just 7 months ago.  There was a real possibility of them getting into the Champions League AND winning the FA Cup. There was a definite probability of them being in the Europa League  and reaching the semi final of the FA Cup (an honours board achievement).  I wouldn't post on their board but I love whats happening.  I was told by their fans last season that it's their best ever season, well, no one remembers who finished ninth in any given season but, hopefully, everyone will remember who finished bottom this season.

Let’s remember their move from Ch >>PL, was due to the (usual) spectacular implosion of Leeds...positioned in the 2nd auto spot with points and games in hand - which allowed the piggies to crawl into PL.

It should never have happened but....Leeds being Leeds

At that stage I was looking fwd to another PIG PENALTY CHOKE (record holders don’t ya know)

Still irritated bout that....

But without that, we wouldn’t have got today’s laugh-a-thon
