A pi$$ed blunt on the radio now, evening Chris !!!

Enjoyed tonight's show.

A Barnsley fan described the latest variety of COVID as a "virile" strain.

Then the Owls fan who likened Hog Staton's line of questioning as akin to saying to someone "Your grandmother's been run over by a bus; how do you feel about it?"

That's huge.

That's 4 games minimum, with 3 of them wins. Also that's without the other teams above them picking up any points.

Going to take one hell of a run to drag themselves out of it. Interesting to see how they operate in Jan.

Yes, the gap that's opened up and the now relative likelihood that they'll be relegated will almost certainly impact on their thinking/ambitions in the window.

They have already rolled the dice to some extent, spending a large chunk of their EPL coffers on Berge and Brewster. With Berge out long term and Brewster having not exactly hit the ground running that's a big investment currently not contributing

Nornally they'd be looking to secure a couple of decent loan signings from top end EPL clubs. However, with matchday squads now extended to 20 clubs will be less likely to allow fringe players to go out.

With little money to spend and a reluctance of clubs to allow players of the required standard out on loan, Wilder is going to have to pull a couple of rabbits out of the hat to get them moving.

You’ve absolutely nailed it here mate.

Mr Humble claiming yesterday was a small step ... turns out it’s a backward two-step

They have 24 games left and probably need at least 33 points to have a chance. That's 1.4 points per game.

A point at Brighton at the start if the season is a decent result for them. When you've dug yourself a rather big hole to climb out of it deosnt really cut the mustard.

Just a rumour... but I’ve read Lingard has been linked on loan, with the pigs humbly paying all of his 100k a week wages

It's peanuts really though. 100k a week for 4 or 5 months is only £2m. It's a bargain if they pay that and stay up.

The fact Wilder has been pushing for 3 subs not 5, against the grain will likely mean EPL clubs want to keep more players around, and may also mean clubs aren't as keen to deal with him too
