Mourinho is clueless ain’t he.

So negative with both Bale and Son on the bench against Newcastle.

Got what they deserved in the end. Go 4th in the table with a win against the side in the worst form in the division who can't buy a win and they play defensively.

You can't play defensively like Mourinho wants to with the poor centre backs they got.

All his teams have been built on a great reliable keeper and two solid centre backs as the foundations of his success.

He hasn't had that at either spurs or Man U and it has shown.

Why does he persist playing defensively when they are clearly weak at the back yet have the likes of Bale, Son, Dele Alli on the bench and play a defensive midfield - against Newcastle?

Mainly annoyed because I have Bale in my Fantasy football, but yeah painfully negative.

A few weeks back I saw Spurs look the best they have all season against Palace and Burnley with a front three of Son, Kane and Bale. How Mourinho can leave two of them on the bench against a side as poor as Newcastle is rank bad management.

Been doing it 15-20 years doesn't know any other way.

Doesn't help him that he knows that spurs defence get proper torn to shreads when you leave them one on one with attacks. why he doesn't open them up to much.

No excuse for today.

When was the last time Newcastle tore anyone to shreds?

He should attack with the attacking players he has. but he won't because he doesn't trust the defence.

Resulting in a 2-2 draw against Newcastle, conceding goals because of the negative back foot approach that he deployed.

They didn't fail today because they don't have a defence capable of containing Dwight Gayle and Joelinton. They failed because they adopted completely the wrong approach, that's on the manager.

That's the way he is. Will always play slow pedestrian football when in front.  You either back him and give him the defensive players he wants to be able to defend leads or you sack him. Like United did.

Their defence is far from top 4 but they have enough to not be scared to death of facing this Newcastle side. Leave what he did on the bench and play the way they did and not get a result and he is the one that has to shoulder the responsibility. If he is that 1-dimensional that they can't attack in games like this then I suspect they will look elsewhere before too long.

Oh dear Mings!

Not looking good for Newcastle.

Trezaguet has dug Mings out of a hole, last relegation place now looks likely to go down to the last day game between Newcastle & Fulham, can't see either picking up more than a win or two before then.
