Can see why he ended up giving a red, you shouldn't really trying to back flick a ball at head height unless you are sure you will pull it off. But the ref was five yards away and had a clear view and thought it was a yellow. Don’t know what he saw different on the tv? I would love to hear his explanation. oldishowl Posted September 20, 2020 Share Posted September 20, 2020 All these incidents look worse in slow motion, it’s ridiculous. It showed you the ref looking at the screen for the Palace penalty. He looked at 5 replays of the attacker flicking the ball up onto the defenders arm. Just those two players in a close up slow motion replay. Made it look like the defender was going for a slip catch. One wider angle from completely wrong side. Didn’t look for any replay which showed his hand had gone into exactly that position when he had been running the previous 10 strides. Liverpool should get all three points. Been a boring first half but both teams should look stronger and more exciting as the season goes on, both have made some quality signings.
