Tbf Liverpool were outstanding for two seasons in a row and were incredibly unlucky not to win it in 2019 as well. With this season coming so soon after last and losing VVD was always gonna be tough to sustain.

They're playing crap though.

And have naff all sympathy re: Van Dijk.

Teams lose big players all the time. The very best find a way to cope with it. City haven't had a striker all season.

Liverpool let Lovren go in the summer and opted to not replace him. It left them short of senior cbs. No top side should be playing with two midfielders in a back four. That's just bad team management.

It's not over for them, but City and United are in the driving seat now.

Do you not think though that trait is often there with winners ? I exclude wilder here, as I think he simply got lucky, and he was never going to sustain that level. But, Jose mardy but a winner, klopp, mardy but a winner, even Pep, mardy when lost but a winner. Even Ferguson hated losing and showed a mardy side.

I just think certain characters are that way-especially when winning on such a regular basis. They can't take losing.

Wilder is simply a mardy arse period.

I don't actually mind em being mardy, it's just klopp winds me up even when he's not being mardy. His smiles always seem fake to means he's proper passive aggressive when he does interviews and things are going against him.

I'm fully aware that he could be Mr perfect and my best mate but as he's led Liverpool to the title and some success I hate him. That's the root of it.

Can't decide on Klopp.

Part of me thinks he's probably a top bloke, but another imagines he could be an absolute tyrant if things aren't going his way.

Completely agree on the passive aggressive thing. He barely contains it in his pre and post match interviews, particularly when theh have a bad result.

I don't think United are serious challengers for the title, for me they showed that when they turned up at Anfield for a draw against a weakened side, I think title contenders would have gone there to beat them.

Liverpool will get sorted and it'll be them and City miles ahead of everyone by the end of the season IMO

I loved him at Dortmund, he seemed a lot more likable and gracious when things didn't go his way. Perhaps that was more to do with the fact that they were underdogs to Bayern and knew their best players could always go there, whereas where he is now, there's pressure to win every game and they're never underdogs going into a competition really.

It's the same team that walked the league last season minus their best defender and now they can't score.

You said they were having a good season last week!

I know what you mean. I found German people can be quite passive aggressive in general.

"Can I use the pan, Ellis"

"Yes, sure"

"Yes, so can I use the pan?"

"Uhm yes"

"I would like to use the pan"

"Ok Lara" *realises she wants me to wash the pan so she can use it*

Burnley still ought to go down.  Dire club.

Bit harsh. I find them dull and generally don't bother watching them if they are on TV but per percentage of population their town gives them a good following.
