I should have been allowed to train with my club (Wigan). But that was not meant to be, for whatever reason."

"My old club wouldn't let me go and train with them, for whatever reason - for no reason, actually - but I just had to keep myself in a good mental state and do all the runs every single day by myself and keep myself in the best shape that I could.

"I don't want to speak about it to be honest.

"If I give too much detail, there will be people out of a job for quite a long time so I'll just keep that one quiet.

"Obviously people have their own opinions, the fans and the club or whatever, but the bottom line is that I trained every single day and dedicated myself every single day to play football to the best of my ability.

"People around me, I don't feel did that, so there was a couple of words said.

Interesting he wasn’t allowed back to train if he’s contracted there.
Still he says he’s fit enough so get him in the side and let’s get on with it.
Not much in this really for me.

Not sure about Outspoken? He says he doesn't want to speak about "it". Until he gets to specifics then there is nothing to see here, be interesting to see how he copes at Hillsborough though. UTO

Not that much different to making players train with the kids is it. It just seems to happen in football sometimes.

There was talk of him clashing with Paul Cook and managers usually win!

New chapter, move on.

Gets his head down, works hard in training, plays to the best of ability and to the management's instructions that's all you can ask for.

In fact, I can't see why all players don't do that for a few years and make a nice wedge whilst doing a job most players love.

Never like it when players and / or managers complain about their old clubs...usually two sides to the story and makes me wonder a little about their character in general.

That said, as long as he does the business on the pitch I don’t really care. I suppose he’ll be sat with Westwood if he gobs off here.
