Bets on football matches are based upon 90mins play and prices are therefore quoted for the 3 possible outcomes, home, draw and away.  Thus for the purposes of that betting market yesterdays game was a draw.  Sometimes it is possible on cup matches to obtain a price to go through to the next round, however the odds will be severely reduced.

I thought this was a thread on them already paying out on our relegation after seeing yesterdays performance!

I hadn't realised that the entire season is decided on performances in the first round of the League Cup.

I'm delighted to see that we actually finished above Forest, Rotherham, QPR, Birmingham, Norwich, Swansea, and Cardiff.

Well done, Wednesday.

I backed us to win yesterday.

Been in Ladbrokes this morning to collect my winnings and guess what? They claimed we drew the game and I couldn’t collect.

Very strange.

You have 2 options in a cup match.

Back us to win the game (in 90 minutes). Or back us to go through to the next round (which would include extra time and penalties).
