Popular Post Bez
It's a brilliant read and made me appreciate him as a Wednesday play even more. One club guy who we should be supporting much more than we do. 9 2

We take him for granted because he's part of the furniture, but when it's spelt out like that it is pretty amazing he's been at one club so long, very rare in the modern game.
gazzamk2
Whatever you think of him this guy is a true professional. Top man.
royalowlisback
Top lad Palmer, my favourite player at the club, and massively underrated by many.
Colin Dobson
Liam Palmer is a credit to his profession and to Sheffield Wednesday. Really proud that we have such a rare breed of footballer - a one club man! In the week that Gerry Young left us it warms the cockles. Top man & wish him well. 4
TheGaffer
I've not hidden the fact I'm not a fan of Palmer as a player. As a person though and that article shows it he comes across as a top top bloke. Can only be a good thing for us that he's in the club. Hope he proves me wrong this season and has a season equal to if not better than his personality. WAWAW
83owl
Crazy that a “fan” trying to start racist chants at our own players.

Not really, if you are a racist, then you are obviously a massive idiot, so it goes with the territory. 4 1

Never rated him, he's only been first choice last season by default, because odjob didn't provide any competition for his place. Jos,Bruce, Carlos, never picked him on a regular basis, Bruce felt it neccesary to bring in 2 potential replacements in odjob and Iorfa.

Hes not under rated at all. Don’t get me wrong I have a lot of respect for the guy because he’s been here so long. Very average, and I think people have their blue and white spectacles on just because he’s been here so long.

He's been playing for us since 2010, and is still here, despite all those managerial changes, he must be doing something right?

royalowlisback
Since going on loan in 2012/13 to Tranmere where he played 46 times, this is Palmer's record. 2013/14 - 44 games 2014/15 - 39 games 2015/16 - 19 games 2016/17 - 23 games 2017/18 - 29 games 2018/19 - 39 games 2019/20 - 33 games There has a good few managers during that time, how does he make so many appearances if he is below average?
royalowlisback
Forgot to add all the above seasons we were in the Championship as well, although the stats also include cup games.

Managers don’t ‘move players on’... Lets face it, he’s a mediocre player in what has been largely a mediocre side for the past however many years. The two seasons under carlos, the best team for the past 20 yrs, he didn’t have a sniff.

Mr. Tom
He’s a genuine credit to the club and the city. Talks very well and knows what aspects of sports are truly important off the pitch. Brilliant that he’s passing that insight on to today’s youngsters, whatever they grow up to be.
