Gary Monk not signed a competent striker shocker.

The excuses have started, they will be:

The team needs time to get used to playing together.

We are waiting on a club to do a deal before we can get on it.

Once the EPL teams have finalised their squad we can bring one in.

We have to get players out before more come in.

The player has not had a preseason so they need to get fit.

Injuries happen when the player has not been playing regularly.

Did I miss any :duntmatter:

Did you miss the post where what he ACTUALLY said was posted?

If some were stood behind him in the supermarket, they wouldn't be able to resist the temptation to shout angrily at him that every item he'd chosen was obviously the wrong one.

You know when you selectively take just one sentence from an overview given by Monk and follow it with a laughing smiley that it doesn't mean anything other than you are looking really REALLY silly?

Hesitate to say this because its crying over spilt milk but I we had signed G Hirst two years ago he would now be in a prime spot to start first team games.

And he's just the kind of striker we are looking for.

How is a youngster with next to zero first team experience exactly what we are looking for?

I think what he is trying to say is if we had not completely balls up with GH - the past two years of development and most probably playing time with Fletcher injury last season and other times when we were thin on the ground, he could well have developed into a good Championship striker.

Instead we sent him home like a naught school boy and prevented him from playing, he signed for a nothing team abroad and had to make up for missing 12 months of his career. he is now at Leicester and they will be looking to loan him out to a EFL club to get regular playing time.

Sort of is in a way. We don’t have that type of striker at the club, not even in our development group. As that type of player is integral to how we want to play, when we finally get the player we are looking for, we will of course need an understudy We at least need to sign a George Hirst type for the development squad

Probably cause he would have a trolley full of bread and no filling and take ages because he would keep remembering he forgot something but come back with more bread..
