The inevitable player offloads when teams leave the Prem are compensation enough without adding the failure payments on as well.

 

Look at Fulham. 100 mill approx signings, previous failure payments, & the 39mill allowable losses. Knowing full well if they fu*k it up again, they are set fair for another 3 seasons guaranteed.

 

And the rest are supposed to compete with average 13 mill spend / losses per season.

 

The whole shambolic debacle needs ripping up & starting again.

Trouble is of the 71/72 EFL clubs only 24 compete in the Championship, half a dozen of which would have been receiving failure payments, and then another 35 clubs probably aren't expecting to compete in the Championship so therefore aren't affected. 

 

The Premier league dictates the financial rules to the EFL and like an obedient puppy the EFL goes along with it because it's scared of the alternative, a closed shop Premier league.

Look we all now the system is broken yet 24 championship chairman keep voting to keep it every season.

 

Until some of them grow a back bone and tell the premier league they will be removed for P&S calculation nothing will change. 

 

But when you have a former chairman of a premier league club in charge of the EFL are you really surprised. We need an independent football league board - I would rather someone like Barry fry was in charge of the EFL that the current bloke. He would have the best interest of the teams in the league instead of making sure they pull in line with what they are told to do by those above.

What they made in sales is irrelevant. They bought, developed and sold those players so good for them. Maybe We should try it sometime.

Didn’t they break the rules in a big way the season they were promoted.

 

Will the EFL be punishing them now they’re back to the Championship or doesn’t that count.

Yes they did break the rules but I’d be surprised if the EFL bother with them

We are scraping the bottom of the barrel now.  Should the EFL and tell Bournemouth not to sell players?  Or maybe give them away from £Nowt to make it more of a level playing field with the transfer policies of Sheffield Wednesday?

 

Can we please have some business sanity and sense at Wednesday, just for an hour or two if need be, and realise that selling players is no bad thing, and actually makes business and footballing sense?

They received a fine of £4.75m, the PL will not impose a points deduction from another organisations competition.

 

As they will have received upwards of £1/2 Billion in TV revenue since promotion this is just a slap on the wrist. For me the deduction should be parked until they re-enter the competition.

My maths are pretty poor but add a £37 million parachute payment and oh wait a minute we are nowhere near on a level playing field.

We could have made the prem and worried about it later. All we had to do was buy quality players like wolves did. We tried to do it on the cheap by signing players with low transfer fees with high wages and are now paying for it.
