SiJ Posted August 29, 2020 Share Posted August 29, 2020 Tbh, I'm not overly sold on this 3-5-2 thing. I know it is quite in vogue these days and can be a very exciting system when done properly, but I'm not sure we've got the players capable of doing that. The CBs always look a bit awkward to me when they're in a three (particularly the ones either side of the central CB) and I don't think we have the quality in the wide areas for wingbacks. You would think though that Monk would want to play his starting line up or as close as possible for the season opener in the only friendly we have pencilled in?
