We can't recruit the top top players in the league at the moment, especially with the deduction present.. think he'd be a good addition. But as a squad player. I guess we’ll never know on that front, but to attract a decent enough player in the face of competition from teams with no points deduction would be a positive sign. Monk knew Beattie et al were on their way and they all wanted Windass to come here. More importantly, Windass wants to come here. I said to the person who told me about this (and I think he is ITK), “He’ll (Windass) get a club in the Championship, I’m sure there’s quite a few who’d want him.” Reply was, “yeah, but it’s not about money.
