Can't say I'm a fan of his music, what makes you say he was a nob though?

No, he wasn't and isn't. The documentary much repeated on BBC4 shows what a nice and humble man he is. His music might not to be your taste and his stage act is just that, an act, but that does not make him what you called him. Jim Steinman and Meatloaf believed in their music when no one wanted it ( preferring "punk") and worked hard taking it to endless record labels. Eventually Bat Out of Hell became one of the biggest selling albums ever, and rightly so, it's a masterpiece. He was brilliant in The Rocky Horror Show, which, like him, was deliberately over the top. He's overcome many problems, his weight, rejection, a violent father and serious illness. 14

sonofbert2
Reminds me of Silver Blades ice skating rink.... All the fuckingknobs busting their moves to Bat Out Of Hell in their Bauers while the rest of us were stood watching in our blue, plastic shitskates.
