Westwood wanted by Blackburn despite his ‘injuries’

We'll need a replacement then.

So non-selected players don’t actually even keep a seat warm at Pitch side do they, particular given the covid -thing. Can’t we replace him with a card board cut out, or is the drain on club finances an important contribution too?

Not talking stink about him by the way.

He proved the 2 nd half of the season when Bruce came in he’d still got it? Leeds away was outstanding, got a new contract and was looking forward to new season with Bruce in charge? Started off giving daft pen away with mix up between him and odd job. Thought he was ok then dropped a few howlers and was rightfully dropped. Dawson came in and made as many if not more than him and should av been took out and Westwood back in( wildsmith was inj at time) around the same time monk fell out with hutch and something deffo went off?? Now he not gona play for us again and needs moving on looks to me like club trying to manoeuvre players out? Just my opinion. The one thing Westwood has got that the other two haven’t is that he consistently talks to the defence and shouts orders that is one thing that helps so much whilst playing ask anyone who played ? So we could do with another commanding keeper cus other two lack in that department and cannot be coached into doing that now

Due to the foolish of Monk this has to happen. Westwood is still our best keeper but he’s not playing and on daft wages so he needs to go. We now need a new no 1 though because we will be relegated with bobbins like Wildsmith and especially Dawson in goal.

Monk is no better than Jos.

He'll get 'injured' lifting the pen to sign the contract

Westwood has been quite happy sat at home collecting his wages for nearly a year and people still worship the crock

It won't even go that far. When a pen is given, Westwood dives the other way.

I think that to get Westwood and Rhodes off the books he has to forego a transfer fee as any Championship club would struggle to pay wages AND a transfer fee.

Perhaps someone should have told DC last summer when Norwich were wanting to take Rhodes off our hands.

Still he scored 3 goals last season and only cost us circa £1.5million - £2million quid in wages.

Then we wonder why we are in the brown stuff with P&S sanctions.

Eh?

Norwich wanted Rhodes for free, which would have meant that the amount still due on his fee due to amortisation would then appear in last season's accounts. Suddenly having the 2-3m we still owe (in accounting terms) appear in our accounts without it being covered by an incoming fee wouldn't have done us any favours.

God knows why . Above anything else , his performances last season were worse than Dawson’s . Some of his mistakes were border line comical . He finished and has been for a while . It was the same when hooper was here and this forum was obsessing about the player he used to be

You can try and spin it however you like.

For me, it's just yet another poor transfer decision from the DC era.

Call me old-fashioned, but 3 goals in return for circa £1.5million-£2million quid in wages is pitiful.

We should have snapped up Norwich's offer.
