snaykz Posted August 20, 2020 Share Posted August 20, 2020 As a counterpoint to some of the doom and gloom: 42 points was enough to avoid relegation in 4 out of the last 6 seasons. There’s a reasonable chance that if we can win 54 points we can survive. Last season we managed 56 points despite being dire for half of it. So if Monk is fired between now and the end of the season, we will end up with Beattie/Bullen in charge until next summer. Would that actually be better? Scrap that thought and we havent been higher for 20 years. Leeds wiped out their 15 point deduction in 5 games and made the play-offs though that was League One. We managed 64 points in 2018-19 and half of that season was masterminded by Jos!
