Recommended Posts

when Oyston senior was imprisoned the Preston fans were singing

he's sewing sacks

he's sewing sacks

Oyston's sewing sacks

and i can remember one of our last away games at the old Dell, Grobelar had been in the papers that week accused of throwing matches, during the warm up the Wednesday fans were singing Grobelar, Grobelar whats the score, he turned looked at us shrugged his shoulders and smiled

a small group of our fans tried to copy the george best/man utd/spirit in the sky one and make it about david hirst (ipswich away end of season under carlos)

we hijacked it with interludes of screaming 'he's not dead.. he's not dead.. he's not ******** deead!!'.. they didn't get it at all. we laughed.

I know it's a sin but mate of mine who supports Leeds told me of this one which has always made me laugh. It was their song for David Healy

Away in a manger Xmas song tune:

Away in a manger no crib for a bed
The little Lord Jesus laid down his sweet head
The stars in the bright sky looked down where Healy Healy Healy Healy Healy

lol

When Graham Rix got into trouble a few years back. To the tune of Manics, ‘If you tolerate this’

‘If you tolerate Rix, then your children will be next’

The Andy Goram one when he’d been diagnosed as schizophrenic.

‘2 Andy Gorams, there’s only 2 Andy Gorams’.

Not astounding lyrics but heartfelt.

After losing the LC replay at Anfield  early on in our promotion season under Wilco, the following season saw the Owls return to top flight after 14 ? years

" We said we'd be back ,and we are and we are"

The first leg at Hillsboro had 49,357 there

You’ll never get past Semedo - just reminds me of that 2012 season.

Tracksuit from Matalan - forget which game it was but the guy was gutted.

Andy Dibble getting covered in teddies at Stockport away and reacting to the Andy Dibble is a willy tugger song always sticks out.

Whole country singing Leeds Are Falling Apart Again last season.

Sing when you’re fishing at Grimsby.

That  is quite possibly the  best away game I've been 2  the home fans. Where getting more worked   up each goal we scored 🤣 I had a copper stood next to me the entire game he advised me not to walk down the old Kent road after the game

When we went 4 3 up in about the 90th minute, I forgot where I was and climbed the separating fence (there was actually 2, 1 on our side, a gap of a few feet and then 1 on their side) giving it large to the Miwaaaaaa Fans. Let's just say I wasn't overly disappointed when they equalised after they'd been giving me the cutthroat signs 😂

I bet you where... 🤣 Did you go to the league game 4 months previous  ?  we lost that one missed the first  15 minutes and our first goal. Because of a massive traffic jam on the m1

Yes, our coach (a fantastic double decker) had got to London Bridge (I think, my memories a bit faded)  in plenty of time but most of the other coaches had already been escorted in.

The Police insisted we waited for 2 or 3 other coaches which had been held up on the M1 (I'm now blaming you!!!)

As we were waiting I'm sure we missed both our goals, but got in time to see Roland stretchered off before we capitulated.

I remember as we pulled up you go under a Bridge into the Car Park, the other coaches which had been waiting for all went in fine, but our Double Decker was too big and had to park up on the Road and walk under the Bridge and upto the ground.

It was fine going in as there were only Wednesdayites about, but not so much fun after, as everyone else jumped on the buses in the Car Park leaving just those on our Bus to continue down under the Bridge surrounded by Millwall fans.

The New Den is completely different, there's still a bit of a different atmosphere to everywhere else inside the ground, but the train in and the walk with just Wednesdayites and the whole day is completely different, the Old Den was a scary place to visit.

I loved it, made you keep your wits about you.

Christ was it really 29 years ago? A few days after my 21st Birthday, which was Barnsley away.
