" In a town where I was born,

Lived a man with a monkey's heed

And how moved to Sunderland,

And his name was Peter Reid

Ohhh Peter Reid's got a f**king monkey's heed, a f**king monkey's heed.

Think it was for Laurent Blanc the Chelsea fans sang

He's here, he's there,

He's every f***ing where

Laurent Blanc, Laurent Blanc

In an interview he said he loved that they sang about him but wish they didn't swear cos his kids heard it etc. They replaced it with

He's here, he's there,

We're not allowed to swear

Laurent Blanc, Laurent Blanc

My brother had a thing for Villa when he was younger (don't ask me why). They had a song that was catchy. To the tune of 'O mi lads', it went something like this.

Nigel Spink throws the ball to Platty.

Platty onto Paul McGrath.

Paul McGrath to Daley.

Tony Daley down the wing like a torpedo.

Puts the ball in the airrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

For Tony Cascerino.

Remember that song being sung at the Old Den when we drew 4-4 in the cup down there in about 91

Think the flats were behind the old terrace that ran the length of the pitch. Just remember us being caged in completely in one corner and the knuckle scrapers from Milwall still trying to get at us. Happy days!!

That  is quite possibly the  best away game I've been 2  the home fans. Where getting more worked   up each goal we scored 🤣 I had a copper stood next to me the entire game he advised me not to walk down the old Kent road after the game
