FlyingOwl Posted August 20, 2020 Share Posted August 20, 2020 Wildsmith Iorfa Dunkley Borner Penney Luongo Dele Harris Brown Bannan Rhodes Subs: Dawson, Lees, Palmer, Hunt, Reach, Ozzie Owl, Pelupessy Only massive problem I have with things so far (other than lack of options) is that I think Rhodes needs to play next to a clever hold up man in a two man attack. I’ve tried to work it so our three most creative are behind him feeding him but there’s the chance he gets isolated. However, I really would like to see Bannan play a more important role in the final third this season and score more goals. If Dele isn’t quite up to speed as a starting midfielder yet then there is an option to bring Palmer into CDM which also interests me. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Be interesting to see if we still pursue Windass with signing Brown, Monk may see Windass as more of a striker than a number 10. Yes as it stands I would hope to see your team, but with Lees instead of the greatly overrated Borner. Crucial we aren't reliant on Rhodes so need at least some even semi proven quality. Would take Windass plus one more and then additionally (hopefully) a young, hungry striker on season long loan. It's alway risky to give a new signing the armband as we saw the season Laws gave it to Purse and whether or not this had an effect we went down that season. If Bannan is not going to get it then I would give it to Palmer or Borner. Palmer's credentials speak for themself. It was a master stroke of Wilder's to give the Blades armband to Sharp. Could **** do the same with Palmer? Borner's been a captain in the past in Germany so he has solid credentials too? As to who he would give it to is anybody's guess though? I wouldn't give it to Bannan, he does a lot of arm waving and blaming people for mistakes (including his own), but not captain material IMO.
