Shocking accusation, this...

Why are we automatically assuming Chansiri wasn't lying about his lack of proficiency to speak English?
Something you cant prove or disprove.

Pinched from another site:

The #EFL said that Dejphon Chansiri gave evidence in a manner ‘apparently deliberately designed to make it difficult to follow or to assess his credibility’, and ’appeared to exaggerate his difficulty in speaking English’.

The commission disagreed on both fronts. #SWFC

Surely wide open to allegations of racism.

IDP seemed happy enough to not even contemplate such a suggestion

You could - y'know - talk to him, which is what the Disciplinary Commission did before completely dismissing said charge.

We also have a wealth of fans and journalists who've spoken with him over the years who could vouch for his linguistic capabilities.

Unless he's been pretending all this time as well?

If you take the commissions findings as fair, ie we deserve 12 points based on the available evidence, that we acted in good faith etc... then you must also take the commissions conclusions where the explicitly say that he wasn't lying about his proficiency in English, including references to emails he sent to his own staff while all this was going off back in the summer of 2018, as fair too.

Not unless you think he was purposefully writing in poor English with apparent difficulty in comprehension to Katrien Meire, Jon Redgate etc and has been playing a long-con for about 5 years?

If you have ever spoken to him you will realise his English has improved but no way to the level required to give evidence without an interpreter.

If you can't prove or disprove it, why have the EFL, a professional organisation, brought it up?

If true, they've effectively accused him of being sly and dishonest.
