It reads like a thriller this...

Proper good read if you have 20 minutes to spare

It's written like a novel

lol

Basically KM grassed DC up... she should’ve said something along the lines of “I thought we were going to breach P&S but I forgot we’d sold the stadium, how silly of me. What am I like!” Followed by an awkward fake laugh.

Wow - just reading this account of the proceedings/hearing

Really interesting read and tells a great story of how we were up against the deadline to do something to not breach P&S including the fact we had to sell players before midnight not to breach!!

Not sure to be honest - I can't remember when we sold him

August 19?

we haven’t made any other significant sales. Alarming - it appears not much of a plan to be so last minute.

No that was the following year.

Might have been Jack Hunt?

So, incompetence from both sides.

We are punished with a 12 point deduction. What punishment are the EFL facing ?

Just asking in relationship to fairness and equality in the justice system.

I think our appeal will be on process rather than detail. The issue of backdating and whether the framework of rules have been applied correctly which they haven’t.

But all this shows just how the club under DC doesn’t plan ahead. Or wasn’t until now. This could’ve been a good plan if implemented at the outset and done correctly

Good spot - had missed that

I think that 3m rent didn’t come to pass. The accounts seem to suggest it is rent free?

You mean the sale of the stadium?

Clubs only found out about that loophole very late on didnt they.

Can someone summarise please in simple terms?

My understanding is that the EFL had agreed that we could include the stadium sale in the accounts but then changed their mind?

What have we actually done wrong?

The written report even references that, whilst they won’t comment on the ethics of ground sales in that manner, the EFL accept it is well within the rules and did nor dispute the valuation of Hillsborough.

We, exactly as you say, simply munted the transactional execution. which beggars belief when you reflect and every single fan was aware we were going to breach without some sort of extraordinary transactional income during that period. The length of time to get something done seems to be....staggering, for what was essentially a near enough ‘internal’ transaction.
