EFL made the obvious decision to send the written reasons by D-taxis.

Date of delivery not yet confirmed.

They're just around the corner

I wouldn’t be surprised if a deal was struck.

‘12 points on next season instead of this season as long as you don’t appeal’?

Surely if we were going to appeal it would have been done immediately?

14 days to appeal, we will take the full period to build the best appeal we can (or decide if we will appeal at all).

Just more evidence proving the whole thing has been a shambles - 7 months to arrange a hearing, 3/4 weeks to announce the verdict and now we’ll over a week later we are still waiting for the written verdict.

The club aren't duty bound to advise that they have received a written decision, so who is to say we haven't. Once we've received the decision in writting, we have 14 days to appeal.

Whether we do or not is at the clubs discretion based on further legal advice.

Are you scuba diving?

Have been but not recently as all boat trips were cancelled due to Covid, mainly just sitting it out until flights return.  Last price from Air Cairo was £1000 one way, one person.   ffs!!!

Oof. I’d be gutted to be out there and unable to dive. Had a few dive holidays in Sharm and Dahab, and dived the Thistlegorm a few times. Love it, but I haven’t done it for a few years now.

If we appeal and lose, can the EFL increase the points deduction #asking for a friend 😁😁

They can't.  We are at the maximum punishment for the what we have alleged to have done. Unlikely the EFL would challenge about it being done in good faith, as it likely we have the emails confirming that they knew.

94.7 Following a Disciplinary Appeal, the League Arbitration Tribunal shall have the power to:

94.7.1 confirm the decision; or

94.7.2 set aside the decision in whole or in part and substitute a new decision; or

94.7.3 order a rehearing before a differently constituted Disciplinary Commission.

None of that is going to happen unless the EFL want to cancel next season, the litigation would go on for many many months.

The penalty is for breaking financial spending rules , the charge of misconduct (which carries a greater penalty has been unproven and individual charges were dropped by the EFL.) We certainly should appeal as -12 is excessive, I think we can argue a reduction based on other cases. The Derby verdict will be interesting,if they have also been found guilty of breaking financial rules.

The thought of the EFL not proceeding because of a legal case is laughable.

Fans really need to get their heads around it; the only thing that can stop football right now is Covid19.  If Wednesday/Charlton/Macclesfield are unhappy with their divisions next season, the idea that a letter from either club is going to suspend the season is fantasy.

The amount of points deducted may not change after an appeal, when they are applied, may change.

The biggest differences that I can see between us and Macc are that they had a suspended points deduction, and that their case result was declared while the season was ongoing.

Same as Wigan the result /punishment given whilst season ongoing.

It's 14 days to lodge an appeal, any appeal won't actually be heard until after next season starts.

Our legal advisers won't be in a rush to put case together (time is money 💰) for appeal, and no way will club be able to (or want to) make any further comments until the 14 days have expired (likely sometime next week would guess)

There is a massive difference between us and Macc, its called money!!! Macc could only dream of over spending.
