Don’t need a fast centre half with Iorfa at the back, we need a Loovens character between Iorfa and Börner

See what your saying but If we're sticking with a three at the back ideally you want pace across it, no good having slow outside centre backs like Borner who at times will have to cover the wing areas

If he has recovered from his broken leg and could get back to his great form with Wigan, then he could be a great signing. Big, strong, defender, who is a real threat in the air from set pieces. Risky because of his injury but if cheap enough, I think he’s worth a gamble.

Perfectly decent track-record.

Scores an average of 5-6 a season, which is great from CB.

Very tall. Always useful.

Very good fitness record until this leg- break, but of course this misfortune makes him a big gamble though must reduce his cost.

A centre back scoring like that I assume will be largely from corners and free kicks which are dependent on the quality of the ball in....so expect one per season with us

Don't know why people get hung up about breaking  his leg! Can be fixed fairly easy  these days,  just a slow process to heal. And when fully recovered the bone is stronger than before!  So not like he is going to start running and his leg will fall off.  Now if its ligaments that's a different story.

Roland Neilson and Nigel Pearson were both back playing after a few weeks, Alan Smith's magic sponge mended broken legs. 😁

Seems he only wore a cast for 3 weeks anyway.

Pearson wanted to play on  in the lge cup semi when he broke his leg and he walked off the pitch. Hard as nails, was Nigel.

Can’t generalise. Dunkley’s was a double leg-break. So was Alan Judge’s, and he was out 18 months and never the same since. It’s case by case, but I can see why some would be concerned.

Judge also damaged ligaments.  Dunkley must be a fast healer if he was only in a cast for 3 weeks

Not sure our strategy should be about raiding Wigan, apart from a hot run at the end of the season, they’ve been pretty poo The only two players worth taking, are Robinson and Lowe, probably the only ones we haven’t been linked with They were perhaps unlucky to be relegated in the end, but they’ve been in and around the relegation places for a few years now. Certainly not much there to get excited about
