That makes perfect sense to me as long as you also have a few emergency options (probably from the Academy, especially if the recently proposed squad limits are implemented). That's good news then we only need 1 left back, 2 right wingers, 3 strikers and we are done. Alternatively we need a few utility players who can play a few position to save us some cash, we cannot afford 24 players in a first team squad and not break P&S rules unless kids are making up the numbers. Venancio arrives soon watch this space.

Didn't rate him. But we should give him a chance, Wigan can make any good player look bad after all. Which player have we made look better? Swiss Toni
With the potential of signing Venancio as well we are becoming overloaded in the CB department and wonder if that would lead to us definitely having to play 3 at the back regardless. With Iorfa, Borner, Dunkley, Lees, Van Aken and Urhoghide all able to play CB we are more than well covered there now and maybe we will try to offload Lees if Venancio does come in? Would save a little in cash. With pre-season starting it’s good to have our back line In place as they have plenty of time to get to know each other’s games and work on communication and strategies. There’s also plenty of experience in there with Championship experience too.
torryowl
never heard of him but seems to have championship experience and no doubt cheap so at 1st glance seems a decent signing .

Lees won't be going anywhere after the season he's just had, he's 30 this year and reported to be on relatively high wages. No one will sign him in this climate. The Venancio signing won't happen now. We're in no position financially to go into the new season with 6 senior CBS. Would love to be proved wrong on both predictions.
