Martyn Ware is a proper Wednesday fan. Top bloke, music legend and Wednesday through and through

In Sheffield fair enough, but over here no one has heard of either him or Heaven 17. Most don't even remember the Human League, ABC or the Thompson Twins.

And the Thompson twins have what to do with sheffield ?

Lots!

For one Tom Bailey was a teacher in Sheffield schools where he started the band

Thomas Alexander Bailey (born 18 January 1956) is an English singer, songwriter, composer, ... Despite training as a classical pianist, Bailey initially worked as a music teacher at Brook School, Sheffield. ... Bailey formed the Thompson Twins in 1977 with Pete Dodd (guitar/vocals), John Roog (guitar), and Jon Podgorski ...

The others didn't want to move to Sheffield so he recruited new band members

Most that's funny as if you've spoken to the majority of the population of the good old USA

Nope.

The Thompson Twins is a Sheffield band definitely started in Sheffield by a Sheffield School Teacher - if you knew your music history you'd know that was a FACT

How's about you accepting that you're wrong on this one, backing down from your ridiculous snobbery, and celebrating one of Sheffield's successes instead of just doing what most Sheffield people do and moan about their home city and it's successes?
