Doesn't really say much for corporate governance, does it?

How much longer are the club going to treat supporters like mugs and keep us completely in the dark about what is going on?

No wonder I'm beginning to feel more like a mushroom everyday with all the  s**t  shovelled our way from the club.

That article makes no sense what so ever, the filing of company account with companies house to an agreed time frame should have nothing to do with an appeal over a points deduction from the EFL.

it just sounds like no one has a clue what they are doing.

if the club fails in getting the ground sale in the financial period they want then this will form part of the accounts we are due to file now.

A significant journal entry of around 60m will then need to be included if we don't appeal

So basically,

Win the appeal sale of Hillsborough stays in 2017-2018 accounts.

Don't win the appeal move it to the 2018-2019 accounts.

Personally I'd move it, start afresh with FFP.

You'd then have this season to invest as youd have the following seasons as a 3 year period;

2018-2019 with the sale of Hillsborough

2019-2020 a lot of high payed players left before this season.

2020-2021

Eh?

They've simply reported that the accounts are late (they are)
And that there's nothing to worry about at all at this stage (there isn't)

Nothing wrong with reporting that at all

Better to wait a week or so and file the true accounts than file a set of accounts on time then say "oh sorry those are wrong these are the proper ones"
