Harrogate Town Ground Share

Farsley doesn't meet the ground grading rules. I guess York is tough as they are mid stadium move.

Maybe Guiseley could have been a possibility? Valley Parade?

Donny is miles away!

Read about this yesterday, the have an old style plastic pitch obviously now banned, they are having this replaced with a proper pitch, but the time span to complete ain't enough.

Apparently they borrowed Donny ground a few years ago too.

They have a FIFA approved high end 4G pitch. It's just the EFL doesn't allow them

That accurately sums up the state of both FIFA and the EFL.

The plastic/4G pitches or whatever they're called are not permitted in the football league.

However it was perfectly fine for an FA Cup 5th Round match a few seasons ago - Sutton v Arsenal.

Pretty sure England played Russia on a plastic pitch in 2007 too.

EFL doesn't allow them because enough EFL clubs (that's the likes of Wednesday) voted against them (Source: https://www.efl.com/news/2014/november/artificial-pitches-proposals-not-approved-following-tied-vote/), and confirmed again in 2018.

It's like the EFL are the Masons or Stonecutters, some secret group founded purely to make life hell for us mere mortals.   They're a rules based organisation with those rules made by its members.

Harrogate are not being forced to play at Donny.  They could simply state that they don't wish to abide by the rules of the EFL and remain in exactly the same division as they are.

Technically they'd get relegated to the Conference North
