Adthe Nuhiu and Kieran Lee could be staying at SWFC

As usual many Owls fans are living in cloud cuckoo land. We will attract NOBODY decent as we are almost certain to go down. If these two want to stay, as long as it’s on reduced terms, we need to be biting their hands off and doing the deals.

No, just no.

Right time for them to move on. Lee the more difficult decision, but just dont think he's up to the rigours of a full championship season after his injury issues and can't carry players, been part of the problem in recent seasons.

Or... maybe... he's always been in talks with us once we knew we weren't getting relegated?

really hope this happens with both players, we are going to need all hands on deck next season

i've not got the slightest what will happen, IF anything 'next season', the country might be crippled by the end of winter.

who/which clubs will be able to pay staff if crowds are drastically reduced or non existent?

will a season be completed?

will clubs be looking at reducing playing staff?

will contracts be torn up by clubs?

will premier sides be looking to loan out more of their squads?

is it a good time for us to be looking at getting in replacements, or a bad one?

totally new territory ahead.

Is there some kind of register of players quantifying their 'hunger'? This seems to be the single most important aspect of any new signing given how often it is cited on here. Unfortunately, one of the biggest problems of the modern game is that so many of them seem to be quite well fed.

Personality and the drive to succeed is more important than talent for sure.

It’s how the club assesses this which is key. We are paying individuals vast quantities of money but somehow have signed mentality weak individuals in last 3-4 years.

So. Just for clarity. If they both sign, whose players will they be ? Will they still be “ the deadwood for carlos’ days” or will they be GMs signings.

It will interesting to see the extent of this major clear out, come the start of the season

We are going to struggle to attract players with a 12 point deduction and need to recruit around 7/8 players within the next 6 weeks.

Beggars can’t be choosers and at least when the likes of Forestieri, Fox and Fletcher couldn’t get out of the door quick enough when their contracts expired, these 2 put pen to paper and committed to the club for the remainder of the season.

We could do a lot worse than offering both new deals.

this...........

have to agree with the latter part (and hopefully monk will have seen that too), but not sure it's been just the last 3-4 years, did you mean decades?

Why not.

If we really are going to recruit a team of youngsters, a few seasoned pro’s around the place will be an important stabilising presence.

We've plenty of experienced players at the club, younger players are exactly what we need.

Even Wildsmith and Dawson are 24/25 respectively.

The last couple of seasons we've looked like an old side, who dont have the legs to run and are knackered by 80 minutes.

The attitude and comradeship in the dressing room will be key in overcoming the 12 points!!

I believe these 2 are positive influences around the club so it could make sense,

Players like Reach need to be 100% on side or forget them!

Great for Lee to stay.

Nuhiu - can 2020 get any worse!!!

Really dont understand such comments...would you like him to be running at a tired Wednesday defence at 80 minutes plus, for another Championship side? with us starting -12?...no thanks,We might need those 6 points...On his money, with only 1 recognized striker,it would be good business for us.I still think if he doesnt stay,he will go abroad, but if not,i would be happy for him to stay.
