Charlton fans not happy

They had a full season to try and accumulate enough points to stay up , they couldn’t manage it , we haven’t relegated them their players have .

Only if you believe that providing more funds for on the field activities than is allowed in the rules has no consequence on the outcome of the season, you're entirely correct.

Slippery slope to enforce when there's nothing remotely like equitable revenue sharing amongst league members

For any Charlton fans ghosting.

This case was only occuring during the season 2019-20 because of Corona. The season extended to July coincided with the court case. It was always going to be a verdict that was going to be carried through for 2020-21.

Your team was poo enough to be beaten by us twice and therefore deserving of league one football. All the best.

But there's no such thing as financial equity anyway, and one club having greater revenue than others is not against the rules.

Exactly! So Charlton has no basis to assume this sale of ground helped us in any material way, and to the direct detriment of Charlton.

Besides, the whole fiasco isn't even about the sale, but when paperwork about it was submitted.  So maddeningly unnecessary.  Blame apportioned solely to our owner.

Financial equity??????

Fulham with their failure payments have Mitrovic 25mill, Hector 9mill, not even counting anyone else!!

Just those two is the equivalent of the entire 3 year P&S figure over 3 years.

It’s absolute fuc*in bollo*ks.

But those things are within the rules.

What Wednesday did is not within the rules

Tbh I can understand why they're angry

BUT we committed the "crime" when they were in League One.

The club who should be angry was whoever finished 3rd from bottom in 18/19. (Rotherham?)

So deducting us the points for when Rotherham are back in the Division and Charlton aren't is actually the right thing to do 😆

Tbh for me, after the second half of last season Relegation would be looming next season anyway, the deduction has just confirmed it.

Reading that thread at least made me lol

Given their own situation and stories that they might be expelled from the league its just so funny.

I remember a few years ago in the league 1 when they made themselves our "rivals", it was bizarre

They have my sympathy.

We have cheated and our delayed punishment has directly affected another club, for the worse.  Charlton have huge issues, they could be the next Bury FC.

We shouldn't revel in their anger, we are the ones that have done wrong.

They should have got more points it's that simple....if it were us in there position I'd be embarrassed to be talking about legal action, they weren't good enough, that's it.

Just take it on the chin like lot's of Wednesday fans have over the years when relegated, I hate this looking around at other clubs in hope of saving yourselves from your own short comings.
