He absolutely bossed it at Birmingham with that team under a real financial mess. Completely galvanised the team and the fans together. Monk knows we all hate SWFC at the moment, he's said it loads - he wants to make it right. Who else in management has that experience and knows what it takes to come out the other side and survive? (Makes me wonder if this is a masterstroke from DC after all, and he was hired for this very specific scenario!) So basically it’s almost like we knew the outcome of all of this when we appointed Monk is that what you are saying

Owls-Fan 4,247
As we know Chansiri won’t sell as he won’t get the money he wants. So we are stuck with him The only hope we can have now is he realises that we need a fresh start and a new manager to bring some positivity to the club and fans. but it won’t happen. we are in for a continued spell of depression as Wednesday fans
Rogers 4,972
The following would come to our club Warnock - just cos. Challenge, up against it, adversity. He loves all that Laws - he’d take it Carlton - cos he’s mental and passionate And a few others

With vast majority of the fans wanting Monk out the door, who will really want to come and take on this mess. In a funny way, though, it clarifies things. It's almost a heads you win, tails you don't lose scenario. If a new manager came in and kept us up, he'd be a hero. If he couldn't, it would hardly be his fault.
darra 11,623
New season starts in 6 weeks so if we did sack Monk and get a new manager in they would have best 5 weeks to build a new squad and sort out pre season. That's a big ask so maybe it's better the devil you know. Edited July 31, 2020 by darra

Rotherham and Bournemouth in League 2 2008-2009 season both started on -17 yet avoided relegation Leeds in League 1 2007-2008 started on 15 yet only just missed out on play-offs and that's just for starters.
stompingowl 95
I can live with the 12 points deduction but the thought of having Monk as manager is a step way too far.

The manager is pants, at best. Now the judgement has been given (-12) we can move on and imo go get a manager that will do us justice. If you think about it positively then a manager might think, "minus 12, that means I'll get time, ie more than a season to put my stamp on things.". Step forward Pearson. This is the time for change Chansiri, take it!!!
Dutch McLovin 2,941
Today’s ruling has made it more imperative to sack monk tomorrow. We know where we are and what we’re battling against, monk is already under pressure and has not turned around the form we can’t take the risk that he will. He needs to go ASAP and a fresh face at pre season to attract players with the right heart for this
