Nuhiu is EXACTLY the kind of character we need now.  Make him captain,  lead by example.

Next season we will need commitment and hard work, not players who hide on the treatment table.

Mate we back dated the sale. Unforgivable in my eyes. The sale should have been allowed and other clubs like Reading and Villa have done it. Derby will probably walk away fine as well. They didn't back date it to cover ffp losses for the 3 year period ending 2017/18.

I'm disgusted any fan could defend what's happened to us.

Yeah I get you, the backdating of the sale seems insane. But legally i guess if that is permissible in accounting terms (presumably we were advised this) and rules don’t prevent it then it’s potentially a loop hole, it’s taken months for the commission to get their head around and the reasoning hasn’t come out yet. I’m not saying it was a sound strategy or something I support by any means but whether the “sale” is backdated and Derby’s isn’t the principle of selling things to yourself is the same and at some point someone needs to hold their hands up and admit all this P&S  is a joke. This usually happens after we’ve fallen foul of it, like when we got relegated just before they changed parachute money.

Since the charges I’ve been massive annoyed that we were told under CC how we were working to FFP but we weren’t.

But what choice do we have now, implode, oust the owner without a favourable scenario for a good buyer. Or try and rally behind something for the time being and have the inquest later. I know what I’d choose.

Strange how Birmingham can breach FFP rules, sign players whilst under a transfer embargo and yet only get a 9 point deduction.

It's not strange at all.  It's clearly set out in the P&S rules.  We broke it by more so got a bigger deduction.

Just not bothered...

I thought the same, if Birmingham got 9 points, and then went and spent more , waving two fingers up at the EFL , I could see it being reduced to 6 before we restart, or the transfer window closes.

Given we have worked with the EFL for the last four windows. This will let Derby off. Charlton will go down because they have more issues than we do. Barnsley who have been sh@t stirring stay up, Hull are a basket case, and Wigan can have no complaints admin is admin. The EFL can tell Gibbo , we got em for you.

The accounts will be  in profit in the next set ( wont get posted now for a bit longer), It all about if DC has learnt anything and puts proper advisors in stays in Thailand and appoints football people.

etter we stay in the championship next year, at least there will be tv money, who knows if or when there will be a l1 next year?

If it was a loophole we'd not have -12 points next season

I've lurked on here for a while now but now & this has finally tipped me over the edge into signing up. We're in a downward spiral now. DC has bet the farm of getting us into the Prem & failed leaving us knackered for the next few years. For a businessman he doesn't seem to have much of an idea on getting a return on his investments judging by the number of players we've let leave at the end of their contracts rather than sellling on for a few quid earlier on.  We need to get some proper battlers in over the next few weeks

Welcome to the site mate - and thank you for your first post

The sad thing is he probably doesn't think he's done owt wrong.

Well the hiring of a 'specialist' to fight the charge would ring true with that.

Something tells me this isn't the end of this.

The only slight crumb of comfort (if you take it that way) is that it is now over. We shouldn't fight it, get on with preparing the manager with the tools he needs for next season to give us a chance of overhauling this and staying up.

Not that many teams make a good fist of doing it tbh - christ, it's hard to be positive about anything to do with this.

It’s not what I’d hoped for (9pts) but In reality 12 Pts is neither here or there Inthe Championship ..and to put it in perspective.. 12 points either way would have got us close to play off or relegation this year .

It is what it is, however DC needs to take a long look at how he’s running the club

Going to be difficult to sign the sort of players we need, going to be a very difficult season, I'd take 4th bottom now.
