Have to give a manager time..

Recommended Posts

Jesus. So now now the justification for keeping him is he kept us and Birmingham up. And that’s a reason to let him rebuild? Look at what a good job he made of that at borough. £50m to put a relegation side together. What’s he going to do here with no money and a points deduction.

to be fair he has got a 100 pc record of not getting relegated so maybe we’ve got the right man after all.

Beware of the pies!  Too many make you vulnerable to the virus, even a certain stupid slob has worked this out!

Point is that we are, despite Chansiri, capable of attracting a proper manager: Carlos even tho he turned into a clown and Bruce however many months he stayed.

We do not know who is available, well I certainly do not, nor who is going to become available in coming weeks. Europe is our catchment area!

Any proper manager would be better. Monk's record is not defensible, he has unfortunately proved himself to be incompetent over many months...

Its the PLAYERS record, post Xmas mate ,that isnt defensible......Same Players who had us third, before Xmas. Its whats happened on the pitch & in the (allegedly) the dressing room, that has us in this situation. That & allegedly failing to comply with EFL rules.

Monk(nor ANY Manager) doesnt coach Players to make basic errors on the field, nor to give away needless penaltys,or easy goal scoring chances.Nor does he coach them to switch off,and not play to 90 minutes and extra time.

Cowleys are unproven at this level,& Huddersfield voted with their wallet...Pearson has said many times he doesnt want to manage in the City he lives...Pointless dreaming..I would love to have Nigel Pearson, but IF Monk leaves, whomever follows will be able to rebuild on the caretaker job he has done.Monks results have kept us in the Championship(ignored now)

Only EFL can relegate us...(and who knows what they will do?)

Any proper manager would be better than Monk as is shown by his miserable record over many months.

Pearson and Cowley are examples of proper managers already available, more will become available, not just in GB but across Europe.  On this year's form Monk would achieve relegation from any division we start next season.

Manager needs to take ultimate responsible for overall team poor performance over month after month.

They're both been sacked

Apparently according to the Monk haters that rules them out from being SWFC manager

Do not have to hate Monk to not want him any longer as a manager. Just look at his record this year which is his responsibility.

You slept through this Season? no one told you about a points deduction (potentially) next?....Players refusing to re sign?..COVID 19 lock downs?.....A relegation battle with these as a reality from Game 1, with only 25% match day income is how our season is going to be.Match's played in(initially) EMPTY Stadiums, than sparcely filled.

Need a Manager that has experience of such,You maybe expecting a push for the Play offs?....

Im just pointing out the rules/criteria set by those who want Monk gone

If you’ve been sacked at your last clubs you can’t have the job here apparently

It is obvious that most experienced managers will have been sacked to be available. Sackings of Pearson and Cowley both controversial and do not rule them out of future posts.

Pearson has ruled himself out of managing in his home City MANY times,& the Cowleys have been let go by Huddersfield...& have stated they are taking time out..How are they 'available'?

A relegation battle is on the cards for whomever Managers next season,& the Cowleys(as an example) would probably as young ambitious  Managers, not want a relegation on the their CVs....after leaving Huddersfield.(remember Kenny Jacket at Rotherham?)

It IS however ,football, and who knows?....

Nope sorry

Apparently if you are sacked at a previous club it means you are rubbish so can’t be Wednesday manager

Them’s the rules set by the fans hounding Monk out

Again,Monk kept Birmingham up,(after a points deduction)Kept Wednesday in the Championship(already forgotten)...and was the most successful Leeds Manager in the last 10 Years, prior to the present incumbent.(and he did ok at the Swans)..

There are plenty of Managers out there,in my view 'worse' than Monk....In our current situation, with a potential pints(or even 'points) deduction...pending,in truth,he is probably the most experienced Manager around in terms of dealing with such.

I think the reality of season 20/21 will be a potential immediate relegation battle, underpinned by playing in front of 25% capacity crowds,(from October,EMPTY Stadia before than )with the threat of a potential further Covid outbreak(and lockdown) at somepoint in the Season.

Matchday income will thus be reduced by 75% for the immediate future,so our income from the Championship,& TV money, is a MUST have.We simply must SURVIVE....

You’re saying we’re going to be in a relegation battle which I happen to agree with and you would stick with a manager who’s results/performances for over most the season would’ve seen us relegated most seasons?

And let’s face it anyone thinking this squad is going to be massively different next season from this is living in cloud cuckoo land. As we’ve already seen he can’t get a tune from these players. People say he’s one of the unluckiest managers here, I would say the opposite? Anyone else with his record would’ve been relieved of their duties by now?

I'd say the opposite with regards to this squad being massively different to the next, not cloud cuckoo land at all.

I would be very surprised if we saw many changes before the first ball is kicked next season. If the last few summers are anything to go by we won’t be allowed to recruit until the last few days of the window?
