Good luck No, not at all, but if Pearson hadn't had a connection with us, would he even be mentioned? Prior to almost relegating Watford, he was managing in Belguims league 2. Since he got Leicester up in 2014 what has he done?

Watford seem to think they have a better chance of staying up with no manager, than keeping Pearson.

Often in challenging situations. At Watford he’s been thwarted by players’ indiscipline. He’s not perfect- far from it - but he’s better than anything we could hope for now.

They were rock bottom and about 8 points adrift when Pearson came in and has taken them to safety. Not sure what else he was expecting to achieve in the 4-5 months he’s been there. Pearson managed to pull off a miracle keeping Leicester up in the PL and signed some very good players for them. At Derby they didn’t give him much time and he didn’t have Shakespeare as his assistant. Personally I feel he would be a good fit for Wednesday and what we need right now
striker
Some Pearson fans out tonight! Funny how accommodations can be allowed for some managers and not others. Suppose the quality of a manager is only as good as the lens through which he is viewed. Edited July 19, 2020 by striker

Almost relegating Watford? 6 points adrift when he took over on December to 3 points clear with 1 game to go, id have thought Watford fans would have taken then when he arrived! Bouncing Owl
I’d be up for Pearson and exactly what we need. But, do you think there would be some bad blood on DC’s part given the transfer of young George to Leuven when Pearson was manager. It was a transfer which was all underhand and we ended up with no fee given he went overseas. Edited July 19, 2020 by Bouncing Owl

During the Summer 2 years ago Radio Sheffield were doing a show and they bumped into Nigel Pearson..think it was at a local craft or antique fair. They had a chat and asked him about his managerial ambitions. He confirmed that he definitely wants to be a manager again but he’s loving the break spending time with his family. He said he’s fortunate because he’s not desperate to find work...so he can afford to be fussy and wait for the right club. Radio Sheffield asked him directly could he ever be a future SW manager. He said it’s very unlikely....he explained that he still lives in the area...him and his family are very settled and love living in Sheffield. He said he still has a strong affinity with the club and bumps into Wednesday fans all the time....receiving kind words. He wants to keep it that way and loves the freedom that he can go our socialising with family and forget about football pressures.....privacy and freedom to leave his home without hassle to him or his family is really important to him So he’s not likely to ever work for any club in the area he lives. Then he joked that one day he might move house. Edited July 19, 2020 by sheffsteel
shandypants
I don’t know if it’s been mentioned but I wonder if Pearson’s son’s sex tape Thai insult would scupper any chance of Pearson getting the Wednesday job?
